Undertaker Mordo gave me my first task. "About time you woke up," he said, and told me I was the Lich King's slave no more. He sent me to speak with Shadow Priest Sarvis in the chapel at the base of the hill. Sarvis, when I found him, named me another of the walking dead and told me we had been freed by Lady Sylvanas, the Dark Lady, to fight the Scourge. That finished the task.

He then set me another: to kill eight Mindless Zombies and eight Wretched Zombies, whom he called "nothing but The Lich King's slaves." I had not finished that count when the day ended. Seven of the one kind and three of the other had fallen.

Undertaker Mordo gave me the first words I heard in this new life. "About time you woke up," he said. They had been ready to toss me into the fire with the others. He told me I was the Lich King's slave no more, and sent me down the hill to Shadow Priest Sarvis in the chapel. Sarvis had a grim sort of kindness. He said I was another of the walking dead and must have had quite a shock. He told me we Forsaken had been freed by Lady Sylvanas, the Dark Lady, and that we are at war with the Scourge and with the humans who dog our steps. That finished the task Mordo had set me, Rude Awakening.

Sarvis then gave me a new one, The Mindless Ones. The northern village is overrun, and he wants eight Mindless Zombies and eight Wretched Zombies destroyed. He asked for no mercy, since the Fallen are only the Lich King's slaves. I have begun and am not yet done. I have killed seven of the first kind and three of the second.
