A chronicle of World of Warcraft: Forever, with one lantern kept for a larger dream.
Forever in Azeroth follows World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard's permanent level-sixty realm, from the first blue post to the day its gates open on November 4, 2026, and every day after. Beside that main road runs a quieter one: the hope that one day people might truly live in a world like Azeroth, whether through machines that speak with the brain, through minds carried faithfully into new homes, or by some road no one has found yet. We keep that second watch in the Emerald Dream.
How the tidings arrive
Every few minutes the site sends out its ravens: to Blizzard's blue posts, to the great houses of WoW news, to Blizzard's own YouTube channel, to the Forever subreddit and to the science desks of the wider world. They return with a headline, a few lines and a link. Every story belongs to the one who wrote it, and every one leads back to its source.
The ravens also follow five bards of the road on YouTube: Esfand, Xaryu, Taliesin & Evitel, Asmongold and MadSeasonShow. Their songs about other games stay where they are; only their tales of Forever are carried here.
Our oath on the science
We take the dream seriously, and so we refuse to dress it up. When we write about brain interfaces or uploading, we tell you plainly what has been done, what is being tried in human trials and what is still only hoped for, and we name a source for every claim.
Around the fire
Every chapter has a fireside beneath it. Bind a passkey, choose the hero you'll speak as, and add your voice. Battle.net sign-in comes next, so the hero beside your words can be your real character, portrait and all.
