Waking Cold in Deathknell
A Forsaken paladin rises from the crypt, hears who freed him, and is sent to cut down the mindless dead.
The Road
The day began at Shadow Grave in Tirisfal Glades, at dawn. I stopped a moment to take in the place, then went on to Deathknell. I stopped there as well, and the cold dawn light lay over the village.
Deeds
At Deathknell I met Undertaker Mordo, caretaker of the crypt. He said it was "about time" I woke up, and that they had been ready to toss me into the fire with the others. He told me I was the Lich King's slave no more, and sent me to speak with Shadow Priest Sarvis in the chapel at the base of the hill. The task was called Rude Awakening.
Sarvis called me one of the walking dead and said it must have been a shock to wake in the crypt with only the cold and Mordo to greet me. He told me we have been freed from the Lich King by Lady Sylvanas, the Dark Lady, who leads us in our war against the Scourge and the holdouts of humanity. That finished the task.
He then gave me another, The Mindless Ones. The northern part of the village is overrun, and he wants eight Mindless Zombies and eight Wretched Zombies destroyed. He said to show them no mercy, whatever they once were.
Fellowship
Sarvis greeted me as a paladin and said that no other race on Azeroth has suffered as much as ours. To laugh in the face of death, he said, has become second nature to us. Afterward Aramis Hammerhand welcomed me back to the light and asked if I needed training.
