Waking in the Crypt at Deathknell
A Forsaken paladin rises free of the Lich King's grip, hears the Dark Lady's name, and is handed a grim duty against the Mindless Ones.
The Road
The first thing I knew of Tirisfal Glades was Shadow Grave, in the grey light of dawn. I paused to take in the view of it before moving on. A few minutes later I came to Deathknell, and stopped again to look, for dawn lay thin and cold over the place that would be my first foothold in this strange new life.
Deeds
Undertaker Mordo gave me my first request. He said it was "about time" I woke, that they had been ready to toss me into the fire with the others, and that I was the Lich King's slave no more. He told me to speak with Shadow Priest Sarvis in the chapel at the base of the hill.
I went down and found Sarvis, and the task was done. He called me another of the walking dead and said waking in the crypt with only the cold and Mordo to greet me must have been a shock. He explained that Lady Sylvanas, the Dark Lady, had freed us from the Lich King and led us in war against the Scourge and the holdouts of humanity.
He gave me a new charge at once. The northern part of the village is overrun with the Mindless Ones, and I am to destroy eight Mindless Zombies and eight Wretched Zombies. He asked for no mercy, since the Fallen are only the Lich King's slaves now.
Fellowship
Sarvis greeted me as a paladin and said that no other race on Azeroth has suffered as we have, and that laughing in the face of death has become second nature to us. Aramis Hammerhand also welcomed me back to the light and asked whether I needed training.
