Waking at Shadow Grave, Called to Deathknell

A newly risen Forsaken paladin wakes into the dawn of Tirisfal Glades, meets a gruff undertaker, and is handed a grim charge by a shadow priest.

The Road

Dawn found me at Shadow Grave, in the Tirisfal Glades, and I stood a while taking in the sight of it before I moved on. A few minutes later I came down to Deathknell under the same pale morning light, and paused there too, letting the place settle into my mind. It is a cold, quiet corner of the world, but it is mine now.

Deeds

At Deathknell, Undertaker Mordo was the first to speak to me. "About time you woke up," he said, and told me they had been ready to toss me into the fire with the others. He is the caretaker of the crypt, and he told me I am the Lich King's slave no more. He sent me to find Shadow Priest Sarvis in the chapel at the base of the hill.

I found Sarvis there, and that first request was done. He called me another of the walking dead, and spoke of the shock of waking in the crypt with only the cold and Mordo to greet me. He explained that Lady Sylvanas, the Dark Lady, has freed us from the Lich King and guides us in our war against the Scourge and the holdouts of humanity who dog our every step.

Then he gave me a new charge. The northern part of the village is overrun with the Mindless Ones, and he wants eight Mindless Zombies and eight Wretched Zombies destroyed. He asked for no mercy, whatever they once were. I have not yet begun.

Fellowship

Sarvis greeted me as a paladin and said no other people on Azeroth have suffered as ours have, and that laughing in the face of death has become second nature to us. Before the day was out, Aramis Hammerhand welcomed me back to the light and asked whether I required training.
