What was found, what was made and what was earned.

Day 1 · September 22, 2026

Shadowglen, Sabers, and a Very Small Book

Tarindrella gave me a book to further my education, because she understands my kind enjoys books. It is true, and I was moved. Beyond that, I learned Tanning and Skinning, so the beasts I have taken today need not be wasted. I have no coin to report, and no snacks either, which I mention only because I looked.

Day 1 · September 22, 2026

First Steps Beneath Aldrassil's Boughs

Tarindrella gave me a book to further my education, because, she said, my kind enjoys books. I do. I am not certain how she knew, but I try not to ask a dryad how she knows things.

I also learned the crafts of Tanning and Skinning. I am told that I will soon turn the hides of fallen beasts into leather. Nothing in nature is wasted, and I intend to be very good at it.

Day 1 · September 22, 2026

Saplings, Sabers, and a Sigil from Mardant

Terunne Bearshaper asked whether I cared to learn how to gather leather from slain beasts, or buy new tools. I learned Skinning, and Tanning too. I do not yet know what to make of leather, but I have already looked at my boots differently. A pair of Young Thistle Boar hides would make a fine pouch for snacks. I mean for sacred herbs.

First Light in Shadowglen, Fourteen Beasts Later

Tarindrella gave me a book to further my education, and I held it as though it might bloom. I also learned Tanning and Skinning, the humble arts of the leather-worker. Terunne Bearshaper asked whether I cared to gather leather from slain beasts, or needed new tools. I did, and I do. I cannot say how much coin I earned, because I did not count it. Counting coin feels unlike a druid, though I suspect I will have to learn.

Day 1 · September 22, 2026

Nightsabers, Boars, and a Sigil in Aldrassil

I learned Tanning and Skinning today, the crafts of taking leather from the beasts of the wild. I have decided to treat them as sacred trusts, and I resolved to honor every hide. Terunne Bearshaper asked if I cared to learn how to gather leather, or wanted new tools, and I nodded too eagerly and said nothing. Tarindrella also offered me a book to further my education, which I took as a great compliment, even though I suspect it was a hint.

Day 1 · September 22, 2026

Sigils, Sabers, and the Sorrow of the Gnarlpine

Tarindrella, on hearing that I had found her, said she understood my kind enjoys books, and asked me to take one of hers to further my education. I have thought about that book more than is probably dignified.

I also learned Tanning and Skinning, so the beasts I fell need not be wasted, and there is a solemn comfort in that. I will be able to honor whatever falls to my staff with the knife and the needle. I have no snacks to report, and I would like Elune to note that this was a hardship.

Day 1 · September 22, 2026

Thinning the Glen, Meeting the Dryad

Tarindrella's book now sits carefully in my pack, unopened but promising. I also took my first steps into the practical arts today, learning the working of hides both raw and tanned — humble work for a druid who talks to trees, but even Elune, I suspect, appreciates a good coin purse.
